The Accounting Manager in TMF Group will be responsible for:
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
Holds a professional accountancy qualification
3-5 years’ experience gained in either a financial reporting team or audit firm (preferably PERE but experience of other fund types is acceptable)
Detailed knowledge of and experience in fund accounting (preferably PERE but experience of other fund types is acceptable)
Extensive experience of financial statement preparation
Excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
Experience in operating an investment accounting system (preferably Investran but other systems are acceptable)
Have a good understanding of the transactions undertaken by alternative investment fund structures along with broader product and industry knowledge
Ability to learn quickly and work within a team under the guidance of a manager/mentor
People management experience desirable but not essential
Demonstrates the ability to make decisions based on insight and knowledge that impact the immediate team
Accountable for ensuring high standards of delivery to clients
Actively engages with customer to understand needs and will place a high priority on client service and satisfaction
Prioritizes clients’ issues and address them accordingly
Will keep up to date with business trends/ changes in law that will impact their role
