Discover the Role

Manages all matters of the Accounting & Tax Department and ensures the quality of services performed to client companies. Services include accounting, corporate tax, VAT, audit assistance & Clients’ banking requirements.


Key Responsibilities

• Leading a department of professional staff to provide accounting and tax services to clients;

• Set goals, objectives and strategies for the department and its business development;

• Review KPIS for the Department and set action points for teams to follow up;

• Work with other departments to ensure cooperation amongst teams;

• Managing key client portfolio together with supervisors/leads and maintaining excellent 

relationship with clients and feeders;

• Developing and monitoring the overall system, workflow and procedures in the division including 

training and development of staff in order to maintain a strong control and compliance 

environment;

• Developing and recognizing potential new business opportunities and services (e.g. new service 

offerings coming from new regulations, new technology, methodology, etc);

• Prepare proposals for new / existing clients;

• Supervising supervisors/leads/seniors in dealing with complicated and problematic cases;

• Review deliverables to key clients;

• Investigating and handling clients’ complaints;

• Liaising with regulators, government authorities in tax audits/submissions and with professional 

intermediaries to increase visibility of TMF Group;

• Participating in preparation of the department budget and leading the team to achieve the budget;

• Monitoring and controlling the billing, receivables and credit control actions in the department by 

working with Finance;

• Participation in reviewing, monitoring and re-structuring of each team as needed to improve its 

efficacy or efficiency;

• Lead projects which require highly skilled resources;

• Creating specializations in each team in the department (eg, tax/GL as required);

• Working with HR on recruitment activities, performance reviews, and employee relations matters;

• Acting as Treasurer and/or Directors/Officers for the local office and/or clients that may assume 

certain level of responsibilities and risks;

• Attending conference and seminars for networking and development purposes;

• Identifying opportunities for cross-selling of TMF services, & identifies business expansion

opportunities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Key Requirements

• University graduate with full recognized accounting qualification;

• Holding a CPA Certification is a must.

• At least 15 years’ relevant working experience gained in a professional firm, listed companies, 

multinationals or outsourcing firms;

• General management of a mid to large team overseeing professional services;

• A proven leader with the ability to motivate and drive departments to achieve the set objectives 

and goals;

• Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and people management skills;

• Service-driven, able to communicate with clients at all levels;

• Detail-oriented and well-organized, skilled in planning and management reporting;

• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; Flexible, mature and self-motivated

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, able to think outside the box;

• Able to work both independently and as a good team leader;

• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
