As an Assistant in our Accounting & Tax team, you’ll play a key part in delivering accurate, compliant, and high‑quality financial services to a diverse portfolio of international clients. This role is ideal for someone who already has a foundation in accounting and is ready to deepen their technical expertise while working in a supportive, global environment. You’ll work closely with experienced accountants, contribute to statutory reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis, and gain hands‑on exposure to the full accounting cycle. Your work will directly support clients in meeting their local and international obligations, while also helping streamline internal processes and improve the way we deliver our services.
- Making accounting entries in accordance with local accounting and tax regulations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Preparing calculations related to financial instruments, leasing, provisions, and cost capitalization.
- Assisting in the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements for statutory purposes.
- Supporting the preparation of group reporting packages in the formats required by clients.
- Assisting with tax calculations and the preparation of tax returns under the guidance of senior team members.
- Performing reconciliation work across various accounts and escalating discrepancies when needed.
- Submitting all completed work to the appointed accountant or senior accountant for review.
- Verifying the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting information received.
- Ensuring tax declarations are filed accurately and on time with the relevant authorities, under supervision.
- Keeping up to date with changes in accounting and tax legislation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and share best practices within the team.
- Providing services to medium‑sized clients with minimal supervision and to larger clients under closer supervision.
- Participating in client meetings as required.
- Supporting trainees and junior assistants in their daily tasks and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and training.
- Performing any additional tasks assigned by the accountant or manager.
The successful candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and proactive, with a solid foundation in accounting and a willingness to grow within a dynamic, client‑focused environment. Strong communication skills, integrity, and a collaborative mindset are essential.
Ideally, you meet the following criteria:
- At least one year of experience in full‑scope accounting; experience in the outsourcing industry is an advantage.
- Very good understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with local tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the ability to follow established processes and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is an asset.
- English proficiency at a minimum B1 level.
