As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing client and staff relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of private and corporate clients. Your responsibilities will include developing strong client and intermediary relationships, supervising and mentoring staff, and contributing to the governance function to ensure optimal business performance and compliance. Additionally, you will drive the expansion of the Group's market share within your specific business lines.
- Implement the Group's business plan in order to achieve the Company's stated objectives
- Identify and optimise opportunities for business growth and development within the relevant business line(s) in Jersey to ensure continued success and expansion of the business
- To promote the Group's products and services, which may include undertaking servicing and sales trips
- Develop existing and new client and intermediary relations
- Develop effective relationships and work closely with other business line colleagues to maximise opportunities for cross referrals and local/regional/global development
- To recommend the taking on of new business
- Ensure that new client business allocated to the job holder is thoroughly researched and that the client's requirements are understood
- Oversee the provision of a high quality administrative service to a portfolio of clients with timeliness and efficiency and monitor client satisfaction
- To provide technical advice, coaching and guidance to staff, in particular, for those clients who require a highly technical overview
- Demonstrate an awareness of risk management
- Keep self informed of developments on regulatory issues/changes that affect the business
- Ensure the policies and procedures as set down in the company procedures manual are adhered to at all times are in accordance with local legislation
- To monitor the performance of staff, including setting performance targets and undertaking appraisals
- Manage client profitability and oversee debt collection, with active involvement as and when required
- Collate own data over the course of the year to support achievement of KPI's
- Provide input on budgets, manpower planning and productivity as required
- To hindsight review all contentious or complex technical outgoing correspondence
- To act as a Director for client companies and is representative for the trustee of client trusts
- To act as A/B signatory on all client related fiduciary, trustee, banking and investment matters
- Create and encourage an environment that supports openness, honesty and timely feedback
- To act as a member of the governance functions of the business, being Business Risk & Operations Committee's and/or Client Services Committee
- Has 3 years relevant experience, and holds a "Table 4" professional qualification as defined by the JFSC, OR
- Has 5 years relevant experience and holds a "Table 5" professional qualification as defined by the JFSC
- Prior people management experience.
- Expertise in all MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Other software packages as appropriate.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Demonstrable experience in a management role and sound people management experience
