This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and people management functions of the corporate services department. The position plays a key part in shaping departmental strategy, driving performance, and ensuring service excellence across client relationships, internal operations, and cross-functional collaboration. With a strong focus on quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement, the role requires a seasoned professional with proven leadership experience, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to foster a high-performing, client-centric team environment.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve departmental objectives and support the overall goals of the organization.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the corporate services department.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team of supervisors, administrators, and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional development, creativity, and innovation.
- Oversee the performance of the department and individual team members, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Take corrective action as needed to address performance issues and recognize outstanding achievements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for high-profile clients and stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust, communication, and mutual respect.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of services provided by the department.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support the organization's overall success.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and regulations, ensuring our department remains compliant and competitive.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field;
- Extensive experience in corporate services, business administration, or a related field, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility and leadership.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and navigate complex situations.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to corporate services and business operations.
- An approved senior officer by the FSC.
