Discover the Role
This role is for a Developer in a data analytics team, ideal for someone with 2–3+ years of hands‑on experience. The position focuses on SQL development, database management, and contributing to data‑driven operations across the organization.
You’ll work closely with senior developers, business analysts, stakeholders, and sometimes clients to gather requirements and build strong, optimized data solutions.
The role also extends into ETL, data automation, and occasionally using BI tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, or MicroStrategy.

Key Responsibilities

Core Database & SQL Responsibilities

  • Gather business/technical requirements and convert them into database solutions.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL procedures, functions, and scripts.
  • Design and build complex SQL queries for business operations.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SQL/database-related issues.
  • Document database structures, stored procedures, and queries.

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and build database solutions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts for integrating SQL logic into applications.

Automation & Programming

  • Automate recurring processes using Python or R.
  • Support ETL and structured/unstructured data management.

Analytics & BI Tools

  • Provide technical assistance and training to users on tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc.
  • Work with BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, MicroStrategy) to support analytics initiatives.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, JavaScript) is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with:
    • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
    • Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
    • NoSQL / NewSQL databases
    • Handling large Excel files
  • Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, MSTR) is an advantage.

Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development, database handling, and data analytics support.

  • Good communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Team player; able to collaborate across technical & business teams.
