TMF is hiring Director of Capital Market Services
- With knowledge of the industry and market awareness, utilise existing contacts across the competitor, client and intermediary base, professional networks etc. to identify new and compelling opportunities for growth or “tuning” of the current service lines and assist with innovation and service development initiatives.
- Research and explore the feasibility of potential new services and cross-company capabilities needed for future development that will continue to position TMF Group as a market leader. Capture and share regional intelligence and knowledge and assess and monitor trends in the North Asia markets to improve the TMF Group service offerings.
- Creates and communicates a clear and compelling vision for the regional business area to stakeholders and team members. Align communications with global vision and strategy.
- Ensure that within the service line we are delivering compliant services [as contracted] working with the service delivery teams. Develop and support clients and opportunities during various lifecycle stages, from inception to final maturity.
- Review and supervise staff in drafting and vetting of various legal documents, agreements, contracts, etc., and performing the daily transactional services such as fund transfers, loan cycle management, etc. in accordance with the scope of services.
- Prepare and provide business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and metrics of growing capital markets strategy and business plan.
- Ensure that the relevant operations teams are kept up to date with legislative changes etc., impacting services provided to clients.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and other key stakeholders across the market.
- Support Sales and Marketing initiatives by networking and maintaining relationships at a senior level with existing key account clients and prospective clients and feeders, utilising professional networks to generate potential new business leads and opportunities. Provide direction and support with global opportunities and contract negotiations (as required) to help accelerate closure of opportunities.
- Work closely with the market head and Global Head of Capital Markets Services to ensure awareness of capabilities, strategic direction, areas of focus and gaps in coverage.
- Fully understand TMF Groups’ business lines, regulatory requirements and how the organization is structured.
- Responsible for the market CMS strategy, as a subset of the global strategy. Ensuring alignment with both policies and Group strategy.
- Takes accountability for the strategic challenges in region and priorities of the business area applying these insights into appropriate solutions (including briefing and working with the Group Head of CMS). Understanding the financial implications of decisions on both the business and Group ‘bottom line’.
- Regular contributor to knowledge resources (i.e. internet/ intranet/ content) and attend trade meetings and industry conventions.
- Prepare budgets, and control expenses and monitor budgets.
- Fully understands TMF Groups' business lines, regulatory requirements and the impact on the organisation.
- Consider the regional and local economic and commercial landscape when implementing strategy, risk and governance frameworks for the business area. Can articulate and demonstrate the impact (financial, etc.) of their role and activities on the business area.
- Considers the business, industry, political, social and economic trends and commercial landscape when designing and implementing strategy.
- Take accountability for the strategic challenges in the market and priorities of the business applying these insights in order to develop and drive execution in line with the strategy. Influences individuals, teams and business areas to adopt solutions to achieve appropriate outcomes.
- Will manage programmes, ensuring they are within budget and meet commercial objectives. Can articulate and demonstrate the impact (financial, etc.) of their role and activities on the business area.
- Creates and communicates a clear and compelling vision for the region to the Group Head of CMS, APAC regional Head, North Asia Market Head and team members.
- A clear understanding of the team KPIs and an ability to monitor performance against these.
- Engage and build credibility with influential individuals both internally and externally, managing both internal and external strategic relationships.
- Will be mindful of cultural differences across a diverse organisation.
- Will challenge constructively and make timely and sound decisions based on a broad view of the information available, the internal/external situation and a considered analysis of the balance of risk and reward.
