A Global Bid Manager provides critical bid support to formal bid requests (RFP’s, ITTs, Price books etc.) and complex or strategic proposals. The US based Global Bid Manager will lead the development of bid responses in collaboration with the Business Development/Sales team by developing leading and persuasive bids for each client, mostly for the NA and LATAM region. This person will be responsible for driving the response strategy and all aspects of the development of bids & tenders, from the point of qualification and request for bid support, to delivery of the response to the client, as well as follow up/rebid.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage proposals working with the Business Development team, whether in response to formal tenders, or by creating bespoke responses to client requests.
- Manage the end-to-end bid process including:
- prepare bid plans, monitor the on-going status of assigned tasks and facilitate progress calls,
- identify issues and work with the Business Development team to solution these, escalating if necessary
- complete initial content in response to questions or requirements,
- lead the drafting, reviewing, proof reading and amendment of content for responses,
- own the proposal response template, managing deliverables of all involved parties, and ensuring overall consistency with the bid strategy.
- Lead the bid process to ensure best practice bid responses are developed for individual client requirements as well as compliant with TMF Groups’ internal policies and processes.
- Understand the sales process, bid process and other areas of the organization in order to lead the Business Development team in responses to clients
- Work with subject matter experts to create customer-focused propositions, identifying content gaps and developing content for inclusion in the content library.
- Prepare and consolidate the commercial fees from standard price books and/or multiple countries.
- Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially accurate bids.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years Bid Management experience across multiple industries, financial industries is an advantage.
- Proven track record of successful bids.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Word formatting skills and Excel numeracy and formula understanding.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. Able to write clear customer-focused content.
- Commercial awareness – understanding of pricing strategies and how to implement them.
- Experience with proposal automations tools (preferred)
- Languages: Business level English required
- Highly motivated and demonstrates initiative.
