Discover the Role

As a Payroll officer you will be responsible for processing and reviewing payroll for a portfolio of clients, reportings, administrative tasks, social security tasks, year-end tasks, assistance with Spanish Authorities registrations, under the supervision of a payroll technician, the Payroll team leader or Payroll supervisor.


Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance of her/his client’s payroll accounts.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of her/his portfolio of clients who use Horizon platform.
  • Main day-to-day contact for most clients, except for those that require a higher job band contact.
  • Reviews and processes payroll data:
    • Maintaining the paper records (permanent file, annual file).
    • Maintaining the electronic records (make sure all payroll input, instructions and calculations are well kept).
    • Maintaining the payroll process client manual.
    • Maintaining payroll evidences records to meet with ISAE´s compliance
  • Filling in the Invoicing schedule of her / his clients and send it to the Supervisor.
  • Maintains supporting and control worksheets to support HR & payroll control processes.
  • Controls the invoice procedure regarding the different clients and assuring that time writing is correctly recorded.
  • Coordination of budges requests and contracts with third parties (ie: Health and Healthy or benefits)
  • Payments, preparation, and coordination signatures for execution
  • Filing and paying tax models once they are approved and updating Tax checklist related to this task
  • Registration on Social security and Sepe/compensation funds (Employment office).
  • Coordination assisting the supervisor with the set up registrations of the companies and filling out forms for social security

Key requirements
  • University's Degree in Business, HR, Accounting or related disciplines.
  • 2 years of experience in payroll.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in Spanish.
  • Medium-advanced level in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office package
  • Strong team-playing skills 
  • Quick-learning and flexibility towards changing environments
  • Excellent organization skills and adaptability to a high multitasking environment
