Discover the Role

The HR & Payroll Consultant is part of TMF’s Global HR and Payroll Practice and is responsible for managing multiple consulting engagements that support the delivery of HR&Payroll Consultancy Services to TMF clients.

The role includes leading “outbound” projects requested by clients within the same region and supporting “inbound” projects for clients headquartered outside the region.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex transformation consultancy projects for global payroll and HR clients, with a focus on payroll transformation
  • Deliver high-quality work and advice to support client satisfaction
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members contributing to consulting project delivery, as needed
  • Support the timely, accurate, and complete delivery of HR&Payroll Consultancy solutions while meeting chargeable utilization targets
  • Contribute to the scoping, pricing, delivery, and invoicing of engagements, collaborating with local TMF teams and third parties as required
  • Work with the sales team to draft proposals and engagement letters
  • Monitor trends in the global HR and Payroll market and recommend consultancy solutions aligned to client needs
  • Develop and enhance methodologies, tools, and techniques for future engagements
  • Identify and communicate business opportunities based on market trends and the broader industry context
  • Collaborate across business units to ensure alignment and effective service delivery across the HR and Payroll service line

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent (Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, or International Business preferred); Master’s degree is an advantage
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in operational or consulting roles, with exposure to payroll and HR consultancy, operations, or transformation
  • Expertise in a specific HR and/or Payroll area (e.g. global mobility, benefits, shared services centres, mergers & acquisitions, global payments) is an advantage
  • Experience delivering consultancy services within an advisory environment and working towards billable targets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to adapt to evolving environments
  • Ability to take initiative and work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience supporting transformation initiatives and realising expected outcomes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
