The Head of Change Management will be responsible for defining and implementing change management strategies and methodologies, such as ADKAR, to ensure successful adoption of changes across the organization. This role involves managing a team of change managers, developing a network of change management professionals, and optimizing the budget for the change management function.
Define Change Management Methods:
- Develop and implement change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR) tailored to the organization's needs.
- Ensure consistent application of change management practices across all projects, products, programs, and portfolios.
Manage and Deploy Change Managers:
- Lead a team of change managers, ensuring they are effectively deployed across various initiatives.
- Utilize a range of engagement styles (do/define/coach) to support change managers in their roles.
- Monitor and manage the capacity of the change management team to ensure optimal performance.
Develop Extended Network of Change Managers:
- Build and maintain a network of change management professionals across the business.
- Provide coaching and counseling to internal change managers to promote best practices in change management.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among change managers.
Budget Management:
- Size and manage the budget for the change management function, including personnel and tooling costs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize the budget.
- Review and approve expenditures related to change management activities.
- Develop strategies to enhance internal capabilities and reduce the need for external resources over time.
Technology Solutions:
- Assess the need for technology solutions to support change adoption, such as digital adoption platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology tools to enhance change management processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in change management, with a strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR). Expertise in applying change management methodologies to drive successful change initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strong budget management and financial acumen. Ability to manage the change management budget effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to assess and implement technology solutions to support change management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking to be able to develop and implement long-term change management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Technology savvy to be able to assess and implement technology solutions to support change management initiatives.
- Problem solving sills to identify and address challenges in change management processes with innovative solutions.
