Discover the Role

As the Head of Department – Global Entity Management (GEM), you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the performance, growth, and strategic direction of TMF Australia's GEM function. Reporting to the Managing Director and serving as a key member of the Australia Leadership Team, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional entity management, governance, and corporate compliance services to a diverse client portfolio.


This role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and commercial oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring service quality, regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, and sustainable business growth while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape the future of the GEM business, enhance client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of TMF Australia's operations.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Contributes to the development and execution of the Australia Corporate Secretarial Services strategy.
  • Supports country business planning, budgeting and growth initiatives.
  • Provides strategic input into service development, operational improvement and market positioning.
  • Promotes innovation and continuous improvement across the Corporate Secretarial Services function.

Financial Accountability

  • Accountable for achievement of service line revenue, margin and productivity targets.
  • Monitors business performance through financial and operational KPIs.
  • Supports pricing strategy, commercial negotiations and profitability management.
  • Identifies opportunities to expand service offerings and increase client wallet share.

Talent & Succession

  • Builds a high-performing team through recruitment, development and retention initiatives.
  • Develops succession plans for critical roles within the department.
  • Identifies high-potential employees and actively supports career development.
  • Creates an environment that promotes engagement, accountability and continuous learning.

Leadership Team Contribution

  • Acts as a member of the Australia leadership team and contributes to broader business decisions.
  • Collaborates with other service line leaders to drive One-TMF initiatives and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Supports organisational change programs and strategic business priorities.
  • Represents TMF at conferences, seminars and client events

Operational Excellence

  • Manages and oversee a portfolio of list & non-listed client companies by providing all types of corporate, business, management and administration services in compliance with the Corporations Act 2001 and other regulatory and statutory requirements; 
  • Track pipeline of work and targets for the team 
  • Monitors, plans and follows up on the status of billing, cash flow and debt recovery in collaboration with the Finance teams; 
  • Advises team members on complicated and problematic cases

Key Requirements
  • Degree holder and member of ICSA (or local equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience gained from professional firms and 3 years in managerial role
  • Prior experience in client servicing environment is an advantage
  • Expert in local country company regulations and familiar with regulations of other overseas jurisdictions
  • Mature, self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and outstanding presentation skills
  • Service-driven, able to communicate with clients at all levels
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, skilled in planning and management reporting;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
