The primary role of the Data Engineer is to ensure the timely design and delivery of Data Lake / Data Warehouse / ETL Processes and PowerBI Reports & dashboards assigned by the development manager. The Developer is expected to work within the security standards and code quality requirements of the group, including full documentation and use of source control.

The Data Engineer will report to the Data & Analytics Technical Lead and will be supported for growth by TMF Business Academy.

• You will produce high-quality, secure, and maintainable code in an agile environment;
• Understanding Business requirements and the existing ecosystem
• Participate in Effort Estimation and work scheduling process with Leads
• Organize, store, analyze, and transform data from different sources and large datasets into information that can be utilized to make business decisions and actions, using various techniques and modeling of outputs
• Create complex reports and dashboards using various technologies (Alteryx, Tableau/Power BI)
• Maintain regular reports and amend changes based on stakeholders’ requirements
• Analyze, understand, and model data being used in the process and (re)define process flows, reporting, and data visualization that improves efficiency in how we deliver outputs and insights to our Clients
• Design Data Lake / Datawarehouse as per requirements
• Design and develop ETL process using SSIS/ADF/Databricks
• Design schema to manage Master Data
• Deliver the reports using Iterative, Agile, or Waterfall models as necessary
• Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the solution
• Ensure good performance and quality of reports/dashboards/ETL processes
• Ensure process compliance
• Provide Daily / Weekly updates on the progress of work
• Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions

• 3+ years of development experience in a Data Engineering role
• Understanding of Data modeling techniques 
• Working knowledge of Data Warehouses, Big Data, and Data Lakes
• Understanding of Master data management and Data Quality
• Working experience on any RDBMS SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL
• Experience handling Structured and semi-unstructured datasets like JSON, XML
• Strong query writing skills, ability to write complex SQL queries
• Experienced in extracting, cleaning, transforming, and integrating data across heterogeneous source systems
• Experience in designing & developing pipelines for ETL / ELT scenarios
• Good working knowledge of ADF / Databricks
• Experience working with Azure DevOps
• Good experience in monitoring and troubleshooting Data pipelines
• Experience working in an agile and iterative landscape
• Microsoft certifications are considered a plus
