Discover the Role
The Junior Developer role is ideal for candidates with 0–2 years of experience who want to build their foundation in SQL, database development, and data analytics. You will support the team in managing organizational data, writing SQL queries, maintaining databases, optimizing performance, and working with BI tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense. This role provides strong learning opportunities while collaborating with senior developers and analysts.

Key Responsibilities

Database Development & SQL Tasks

  • Write SQL queries and perform CRUD operations.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing SQL databases.
  • Support data warehousing and database architecture activities.
  • Implement security measures, manage user permissions, and protect sensitive data.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues.
  • Support smooth functioning and performance of database systems.

Collaboration & Team Support

  • Work with senior developers, analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users on tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense.
  • Support cross-functional teams in data analytics initiatives.

Analytics & BI Tools

  • Work on analytical tools such as Power BI and Qlik Sense for reporting and visualization needs.

Key Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Entry-level to 2 years (including internships, academic projects, or personal projects related to databases or analytics).

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or JavaScript (added advantage).
  • Exposure to:
    • SSRS / SSAS
    • TDE (Transparent Data Encryption)
    • NoSQL/NewSQL databases
    • Handling large Excel datasets
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense is a plus.
