The O2C Manager – Collections is responsible for overseeing the collections function within the Order-to-Cash process. This role focuses on ensuring timely and effective collection of receivables, reducing overdue accounts, and optimizing cash flow. It requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to managing customer relationships and resolving payment issues. The manager works closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure compliance with financial policies and contractual obligations.
- Lead and manage the collections team, ensuring efficient execution of collection activities
- Monitor and improve key collections KPIs such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), aging of receivables, and collection effectiveness
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and bad debt
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, sales, legal) to resolve payment disputes and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments and address concerns
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements related to collections
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives within the collections function
- Minimum 5 years of experience in collections or related finance functions
- Proven track record in managing teams and improving collections performance
- Experience in working with international clients and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in shared services or BPO environment is a plus
