The Operations Director plays a pivotal role in transforming the company's strategic vision into actionable plans that drive operational excellence and achieve organizational objectives. As the architect of daily operations, the Operations Director ensures that all departments and teams align with the company's overarching goals, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills to guide the business toward a sustainable future.
The Operations Director maintains a comprehensive overview of planning, KPIs, and budgets, ensuring that all initiatives and resources are aligned with the company’s strategic priorities. With a helicopter view over all operations, the Operations Director identifies opportunities, addresses challenges, and provides cohesive leadership to ensure optimal performance across the organization.
An essential part of this role is maintaining strict oversight of all Client Due Diligence (CDD)–related matters. The Operations Director ensures compliance, risk management, and operational excellence in this critical area, safeguarding the organization’s integrity and reputation.
The Operations Director fosters an open, safe, and engaged culture while delivering constructive feedback and driving team alignment. Acting as a unifying force between strategic leadership and operations, the Operations Director ensures cohesion, trust, and progress toward the company’s ambitions.
- Act as Statutory Director of TMF Netherlands B.V.
- Ultimate responsible for all customer due diligence (CDD) related matters of the client portfolio of her/his teams
- Ultimate responsible for the quality and completion of CDD files of the client portfolio of her/his teams within the set deadlines.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to transform the company’s vision into actionable and resource-aligned plans.
- Bridge stakeholders, strategy, and operations to foster alignment, trust, and shared purpose while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee planning, KPIs, and budgets to ensure alignment with strategic priorities such as flawless service, client satisfaction and talent management.
- Identify opportunities, resolve challenges, and optimize organizational performance.
- Establish and monitor effective processes and systems to drive operational excellence
- Responsible for client delivery and driving ongoing improvements in the quality of service and cost of service.
- Accountable for overseeing the execution of essential business projects, including ensuring timely completion, optimal resource allocation, risk management, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Academic background with at least 15 years relevant working experience.
- Experience in and a strong understanding of the corporate services industry.
- Ability to engage and steer discussions at senior level while fostering an open and safe culture.
- Solution-oriented, capable of addressing and resolving operational challenges proactively.
- Project management experience and mindset, combining a results-driven approach with a collaborative relationship style ("hard on content, soft on relationships").[JR2]
- Skilled in driving alignment, creating buy-in, and rolling out decisions coordinated.
- Constructive in providing feedback and ensuring accountability.
- Exceptional at driving engagement and goal setting.
- Strong focus on deliverables and maintaining tight control over metrics.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and other external market forces impacting the industry.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
