Discover the Role

As the Payroll Associate, you will be assisting our senior colleagues in providing a world class payroll service to clients in Greece. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of local payroll legislation and will be assisting our senior professionals in end to end payroll processes. 


Key Responsibilities
  • End to end payroll calculations for small and medium-size clients under minimum supervision;
  • Providing information to client on time to ensure clients’ staff is paid in the defined period;
  • Filing of the clients documentation;
  • Ensuring all paperwork is filled on time and accurately with the relevant Greek authorities  – under supervision;
  • Responsible for accurate entry of source information into payroll/HR software;
  • Submitting all output and reports for clients to Specialist or Manager for approval;
  • Identifying errors or missing documentation provided by the client;
  • Preparation of banking payroll file to be uploaded to the banking system for payment;
  • Generating/ printing payslips and annual tax declarations for clients’ employees in case of busy periods or delay caused by system breakdown etc.
  • Identifying out-of-scope service and providing respective information to the Manager
  • Keeping up to date with changes in payroll and labour legislation;
  • Being proactive and using initiative to clarify issues, identify savings and efficiencies for the clients and processes within a Team, proactively sharing the best practices

Key Requirements

The successful candidate has a strong attention to detail and solid knowledge of payroll principles and Greek tax regulations. The job holder needs to be able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively. 

Ideally, you are meeting following hiring criteria:

  • Good knowledge of payroll principles and local tax regulations;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles is preferred;
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines;
  • Excellent communications skills to interact with clients and explain payroll related matters effectively;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Bachelor degree in Economy, Finance, HR or other related field
