Discover the Role

As Payroll Manager you will supervise the department, coordinate incoming work and ensure timely and qualitative deliverables for the full client portfolio. You continuously look for improvements at operational level by introducing processes and procedures to reduce inefficiency and make sure our clients remain fully compliant with all regulations related to setup and recurring activities. You coach senior staff within the department and will work in close cooperation with the Country Leader and the management team.


Key Responsibilities
• Drives the team to meet the overall KPIs of the department;
• Executes business strategy in line with guidance set out by management;
• Drives business development: coordinate fee proposals, leads prospects calls, etc.;
• Manages the customer relationship and expectations, ensures regular communication to maintain a good relationship with all customers, handles complaints/escalations if and when they arise;
• Implements alternative ways of working to identify more efficient outcomes, balancing cost and quality by using financial management techniques;
• Coordinates the onboarding of new clients;
• Manages the team from a wide perspective: drives performance (evaluation, goals settings…), monitors career plans and people evolution;
• Distributes workload within the team and monitors allocation of tasks and clients in line with roles and competencies;
• Monitors regulatory changes and acts accordingly (providing guidance to clients and team);
• Trains/coaches the (senior) team members; Leads meetings with team, clients and other parties.
 

Key requirements
• Dutch or French mother tongue with good knowledge of the other language;
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar organization;
• Proven experience in managing a team or department;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Problem solving and hands on attitude;
• Ability to meet high quality standards;
• Puts colleagues / clients at the centre of everything they do to ensure a positive experience;
• Creates and drives team success;
• Maintains relationships with clients and at all levels top and down across the Group.
