We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end‑to‑end, multi‑country payrolls for our international client portfolio. This role requires deep technical payroll knowledge, strong analytical ability, and the capability to manage complex payroll scenarios independently. You will ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery, maintain strong client relationships, support audits, and mentor junior team members.
This is a key position supporting International Payroll operations, with alignment to KL & ANZ regions, requiring early‑morning shift coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end‑to‑end, complex payrolls independently, including advanced calculations and multi‑country payroll elements.
  • Ensure complete compliance with tax, statutory, social security, and labor regulations, including implementation of legislative updates.
  • Review and validate payroll outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to finalization.
  • Act as the main contact for advanced client queries, escalations, and audit support, participating in client calls as required.
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, quality checks, and informal coaching for junior team members.
  • Support year‑end processes such as reconciliations, statutory filings, and annual reporting.
  • Assist with new client onboarding, including system setup, parallel runs, and smooth transition to BAU operations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other client stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and standardization.
  • Support extended or early shift hours during payroll peak periods as part of KL & ANZ aligned payroll cycles.

Key Requirements


  • Minimum 3 years of experience independently managing complex payrolls and interacting directly with clients.
  • Strong technical expertise in payroll processes, statutory compliance, and local legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP, Visma, Softland, Sage, etc.
  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships professionally and explain complex payroll matters clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and confidentiality.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business, or related fields preferred; payroll certifications (FPC, CPP, national equivalents) are an added advantage.
  • Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and mentoring junior colleagues is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to work early‑morning shift aligned with international payroll timelines: 04:30 AM–01:30 PM IST / 05:30 AM–02:30 PM IST / 06:30 AM–03:30 PM IST
  • This is an International Payroll role supporting KL & ANZ regions.
