Discover the Role


The Project Manager for Migration Projects is responsible for end‑to‑end planning, execution, and governance of data, system, and platform migrations. This role ensures migrations are delivered with minimal disruption, robust controls, and strong cross‑functional alignment across Technology, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors. The PM must navigate technical complexity, manage dependencies, and lead teams through preparation, cutover, and stabilization phases.


Key Responsibilities


Migration Planning & Readiness

  • Develop detailed migration plans, timelines, and scope
  • Conduct readiness assessments, environment checks, dependency mapping, and risk evaluation
  • Define data validation, reconciliation, and rollback frameworks


Migration Execution

  • Lead migration waves, dry runs, rehearsals, and cutover events
  • Coordinate data extraction, transformation, mapping, and load activities
  • Oversee UAT, defect resolution, and production readiness sign‑offs


Governance & Risk Management

  • Maintain RAID logs, dashboards, and migration KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with data security, audit, and regulatory standards
  • Facilitate go/no‑go meetings and track critical decision gates


Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Engage business, technology, and leadership stakeholders with timely updates
  • Manage third‑party vendors involved in migration tools or platform delivery
  • Act as the central point of contact for coordination across regions


Post‑Migration Stabilization

  • Lead hypercare, monitor performance, and ensure defect closure
  • Coordinate handover to BAU teams with complete documentation
  • Capture lessons learned and improve migration frameworks

Key Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 5–8 years of project management experience with hands‑on migration project delivery
  • Background in regulated environments (finance, tax, data privacy)
  • PMP (preferred), PRINCE2, or Agile certification
  • Strong understanding of data structures, integrations, ETL, and system cutovers
  • Expertise in project methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid)
  • Experience with cloud, ERP/CRM, platform, or multi‑system migrations
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Azure Devops, JIRA, and migration planning tools
  • Experience leading multi‑country or multi‑entity migrations
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage complex dependencies and drive accountability
  • Strong leadership with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams
