The Risk and Compliance Officer in the Northern Europe Market is responsible for monitoring compliance with TMF Group policies and local legislation across all operations within the region. This includes primarily Poland and Germany, as well as Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia).
The role focuses on key risk areas such as KYC/CDD activities, the Management Services fiduciary framework, the Payments Control Framework, regulatory compliance, policy development, and reporting.
This position reports directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance Northern Europe Market and collaborates closely with market-level and local stakeholders, including CDD, Data Protection, Legal, IT Security, and business teams.
- Support risk management and compliance activities across Poland, Germany, and other Northern Europe markets
- Ensure Group Compliance Policies and Procedures are implemented locally and maintained in line with applicable laws, regulations, and guidance
- Under the supervision of the manager, perform compliance monitoring and control testing
- Identify, track, and report findings; agree on remediation plans with stakeholders and monitor progress
- Monitor key compliance indicators (e.g., KYC/CDD backlog, high-risk mandates, audit findings, regulatory KPIs)
- Support the preparation of training materials, raise awareness, and contribute to building a strong risk culture
- Provide guidance and support to client servicing teams in line with compliance policies
- Prepare internal reports
- Identify and escalate potential risks appropriately within the organization
- Participate in meetings with global teams, clients, and regulators/supervisors
- Support risk assessment initiatives and programs within the Northern Europe Market on both structured and ad hoc basis
- 1–3 years of experience in a risk and compliance role or a related field
- Knowledge of KYC/CDD processes
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply risk and compliance frameworks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage stakeholders effectively
- Proactive, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written and spoken English & Polish.
- German language would be desirable but not essential
- University degree (or equivalent) in Law, Finance, or a related field
