TMF Group is looking for a Senior Accounting Associate in our KL office!
Key Responsibilities:
· - Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements with notes on a timely basis to ensure that all accounting standards and legislative requirements are met.
· - Analyze information, reports, ledgers and other accounting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy, recommending appropriate actions and adjustments where required to facilitate planning and decision making.
· - Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to provide advice and guidance as required and to assist with resolution of issues to ensure they can provide accurate, timely and compliant statutory financial statements.
· - Assist with the preparation of draft notes and disclosures to financial statements were required to comply with statutory requirements using OneSource technology.
· - Assist with developing and implementing policies, procedures and standards for preparation of input into statutory reporting to continually improve the quality, accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of statutory financial statements
· - The preparation under tight timeframes of accurate, considered and complete statutory financial statements including basic analysis and notes which meet all legislative and accounting requirements across many countries. Improving processes including reducing duplication, increasing standardization, leveraging technology solutions, fostering and sharing innovation and increasing functional synergies across a large and diverse business base. Perform in timely and accurate manner general accounting and reporting including processing journal entries, calculation of accruals, posting and process allocation
· - Assist in month end closing by assuring all appropriate information is entered into system. Ensure proper reconciliation of reports and accounts. Handle day-to-day Accounts Payable activities, like invoice processing, matching to purchase orders/members statements, confirming authorizations, checking VAT calculations and deductions, creating payment proposals, reversals and corrections of incorrectly posted invoices. Handle day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities, like issuing invoices, incoming payment allocation and matching.
· Prior experience in a multi-country, multiple legal entity preferably in an BPO/Centralized delivery environment.
- Minimum 2-3 years in accounting and experience in preparation of statutory financial statements. Prior audit working experience will have an advantage.
- Preferably University graduates in Accounting or Finance.
· Good knowledge of accounting, GAAP, corporate practices; IFRS knowledge will be an asset.
- Desirable: experience working with global software’s such as OneSource, SAP, DAX, Oracle for Financial statements.
