The Fund Accountant is primarily responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting for one / more funds including calculating / reporting the daily NAV per unit and compiling standard weekly and/or monthly financial statements, and income and expense accruals.
- Handle daily administrative tasks and transaction activities related to investment portfolios.
- Process trade settlements and payments for unit trust funds.
- Monitor account balances and ensure sufficient cash availability for trade settlements and payments.
- Input and maintain transaction records in the fund accounting system.
- Support team members to ensure service excellence and timely delivery to clients.
- Liaise with local and foreign custodian banks, fund managers, tax agents, and auditors at an operational level.
- Manage ad-hoc assignments as required.
- Handle client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certification in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Prior experience in a fund management company or trustee company is preferred.
- Accounting knowledge and experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
