Discover the Role

Technical application support engineer is responsible for the underlying infrastructure (Hardware/Software) on which the central key business application run in the TMF Group and for which the technical team is responsible for support and configuration.

The Technical Application Support Engineer ensures that TMF group can rely on consistent application infrastructure with adequate performance, resilience and security.

The candidate would be responsible for the day to day activities of a small technical team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Affinity with financial ERP systems.
  • An HBO / advanced vocational education or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application technical support.
  • The Technical Application Team provides non-functional support for the business application infrastructure.
  • Typical activities include:
  • Proactively monitoring, analysing and fixing issues that arise.
  • Optimisation of all existing application infrastructure.
  • Installing and configuring infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintaining the optimisation and integrity of all applications.
  • Ensuring recoverability of all infrastructures related to core applications.
  • Auditing security on a regular basis.
  • Documenting current and new environments.
  • Capacity planning.
  • Designing and implementing new procedures.
  • Key decision making in the design of the application infrastructure architecture.
  • Assisting and troubleshooting with backend infrastructure related application issues.
  • Ability to challenge complex customer requirements and address them with effective technology solutions.
  • Patch management.

Key Requirements
  • Ability to be able to pick up different disciplines easily the following is required:
  • MS Dynamics products:
  • MS Dynamics AX 4.0/2009/2012/2012R2.
  • MS Dynamics CRM 2011/2013.
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2/2012(R2) Administration.
  • Microsoft SQL server 2008/2012 Administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Will be considering as an advantage experience with the following systems:
  • Hyperion.
  • SharePoint.
  • Viewpoint.
  • LoanIQ.
  • System Center family (SCOM, SCCM).
  • IIS
