In this role, you’ll manage the setup and administration of client companies, handle legal documentation, and coordinate with banks, notaries, and legal counsel. You’ll maintain client relationships, ensure compliance with AML regulations, and support business development—all while keeping systems updated and ensuring accurate billing through daily time-writing.
- Central point of contact for correspondence with clients, notaries, external advisors, banks, regulatory and governmental organizations and other relevant parties;
- Coordinate all legal and corporate matters for our client companies, together with the Legal Team such as incorporations, liquidations, annual meetings of shareholders, board meetings, capital calls, dividend distributions, share purchases etc. in close cooperation with the client, notaries, law firms and tax advisors;
- Draft and review of legal documentation, fee proposals and client contracts;
- Review and assess relevant legal documentation and advice from third parties;
- Signal any legal or other issues in a client transaction;
- Attend and independently carry out meetings with clients and other parties;
- Update and maintain the client portfolio in good standing and compliant with Belgian legislation;
- Ensure that all legal procedures remain in line with applicable law and overall objectives;
- Work out projects based on legislative changes and commercialize these with the help of the team;
- Mentor and assist with training the junior members within the team.
- Master degree in law;
- Additional Master in Corporate Law or Business Administration is a plus;
- A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience;
- Knowledge of corporate law and regulations;
- At least a basic level in either French or Dutch;
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
- Solid understanding of an entity’s financial statements;
- General interest in international financial/capital markets and financial instruments is a plus.
- Good communication skills coupled with the ability to liaise with people internationally, through spoken and written channels and at all levels;
- Excellent team player that can work independently where needed.
