This critical role will oversee the day-to-day operations of payroll processing, benefits administration, HRIS management, and compliance, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery to our clients.
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR & Payroll Services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Manage team workload and resources effectively, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Drive team engagement and motivation.
- Payroll Processing & Compliance:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage payroll tax filings and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll legislation and regulations, and implement necessary updates to processes and systems.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to identify and mitigate risks.
- Process Improvement & Project Management:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead or participate in HR projects, such as system implementations or process redesigns.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the HR & Payroll Services budget.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in HR and payroll, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, HRIS systems, and HR best practices.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
