TMF is hiring a senior payroll specialist with Japanese Speaker in Chengdu office.
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for Japan, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Oversee statutory filings, year-end tax adjustments (年末調整), and social insurance procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior payroll staff or HR team members.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to support audits, reporting, and policy development.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage complex payroll scenarios including expatriate payroll, tax equalization, and executive compensation.
- Stay current with changes in Japanese labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in payroll systems, automation, and employee experience.
- understandign of other parts of the business such as HR, accounting and Tax, HR, Cosec, etc.
- other tasks as requested by the company
1) Bachelor's degree with HR or Accounting will be an advantage.
2) At least 2 years of relevant experience in international companies or professional firms preferred. Japanese above N2 is a Must.
3) Working knowledge and experience of the Local country Labor Ordinances, payroll administration and pension regulations.
