Discover the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Specialist to support the Accounting and taxation team. This critical role is responsible for overseeing Accounting and taxation processes.


Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:


Supporting the team with daily operational tasks.

Performing reconciliations.

Ensuring statutory compliances.

Handling queries effectively.

Coordinating with multiple internal and external counterparts.

Demonstrating strong leadership skills.

Contributing to the improvement of operational efficiency.


Primary Responsibilities and Tasks 

 

  1. General Ledger Reconciliation & Accounting Support: Perform General Ledger account reconciliations and provide support for day-to-day accounting activities processed by the team within the Oracle software.
  2. Parallel Accounting & Compliance: Maintain parallel accounting records using Tally, ensuring compliance with Indian GAAP. Make necessary adjustments to align with Income Tax Act requirements.
  3. Statutory Compliance Management: Prepare and manage various statutory compliances, including processing payments and filings for TDS, EPF, PT, and Income Tax returns.
  4. Documentation & Payment Processing: Prepare agreements and manage processes related to vendor payments and payroll.
  5. Financial Reporting & Management Summary: Prepare financial statements and compile concise management summaries based on financial data.
  6. Audit Coordination & Compliance: Manage annual audit compliance procedures and demonstrate the ability to effectively handle audit processes independently.
  7. Transaction Query Resolution: Address and resolve queries related to various financial transactions throughout the contractual period.
  8. Bank Relationship Management: Maintain and manage relationships with banking institutions.
  9. Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure timely completion of tasks through close coordination with auditors and other stakeholders.
  10. Communication & Inquiry Response: Effectively communicate with individuals and multiple departments, responding promptly and accurately to their queries.
  11. Interpersonal Communication & Coordination: Possess strong communication skills to effectively handle and coordinate with multiple internal and external counterparts.                                                                     

Key Requirements
  1. Technical Competencies: 

    Accounting Skills:

    A solid foundation in accounting principles, practices, and procedures is essential for effective financial management. This includes a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, reconciliation techniques, and budgeting processes. The ability to analyse financial data, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards is crucial. Proficiency in key accounting concepts—such as accruals, amortization, and depreciation—enables the professional to contribute to financial decision-making and support overall business objectives.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional background in terms of accounting qualification (CA/CMA) highly desirable.
    • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of strong accounting/finance experience, ideally post CA/CMA Inter, showing progression and leadership potential. 

      · Software Proficiency:

      ·       Advanced skills in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, visualization) and MS Word for analysis, reporting, and documentation.

      ·       Familiarity with accounting software (SAP - would be an added advantage, Oracle, Tally) for transaction processing and reporting.

      ·       Knowledge of ERP systems for integration and real-time data analysis.

      · Communication Skills:

      ·       Excellent verbal and written communication for conveying complex financial information clearly.

      ·       Ability to present data concisely to diverse audiences, including non-financial stakeholders.

      ·       Strong report writing and presentation capabilities.

      · Team Management:

      ·       Strong leadership to motivate and guide a finance team.

      ·       Proficiency in performance management, conflict resolution, and resource allocation.

      ·       Commitment to team training and professional development.

      · Client Coordination:

      ·       Exceptional interpersonal skills for building client/stakeholder relationships.

      ·       Effective communication, expectation setting, and prompt inquiry resolution.

      ·       Collaboration with cross-functional teams for smooth operations.
