Discover the Role

Technical application support engineer is responsible for the underlying infrastructure (Hardware/Software) on which the central key business application run in the TMF Group and for which the technical team is responsible for support and configuration.

The Technical Application Support Engineer ensures that TMF group can rely on consistent application infrastructure with adequate performance, resilience and security.

The candidate would be responsible for the day-to-day activities of a small technical team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure & Application Management

    • Install, configure, and maintain application infrastructure.
    • Optimize existing application environments for performance and reliability.
    • Ensure recoverability and integrity of core application infrastructures.

  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting

    • Proactively monitor systems and resolve technical issues.
    • Troubleshoot backend infrastructure-related application problems.

  • Security & Compliance

    • Conduct regular security audits.
    • Manage patching and updates for systems and applications.

  • Planning & Documentation

    • Perform capacity planning for future growth.
    • Document current and new environments, procedures, and configurations.

  • Architecture & Design

    • Participate in key decisions regarding application infrastructure architecture.
    • Design and implement new procedures for optimization and resilience.

  • Collaboration & Leadership

    • Lead daily activities of a small technical team.
    • Challenge complex customer requirements and provide effective technology solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Education & Experience

    • HBO / advanced vocational education or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical application support.
    • Affinity with financial ERP systems.

  • Technical Skills

    • Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016) administration.
    • Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2012) administration.
    • Azure PaaS (AKS, Cosmos DB, MS SQL DB, Azure DevOps).
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Additional Advantage

    • Experience with SharePoint, Viewpoint, Outsystems, REST API, IIS.

  • Soft Skills

    • Ability to learn multiple disciplines quickly.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Effective communication and documentation abilities.
