Discover the Role

As the Accounting & Tax Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a world class accounting & tax service to our clients in Croatia. Since this is a senior role, you will stand as pivotal team member and assist the team with complex tasks, ensuring TMF’s clients are provided with efficient, professional, and high-quality services which meet all statutory obligations. In addition, you will also train and supervise our junior team members and contribute to other's development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of results, balances, other financial reports, management reports and statements according to the local legislation. Preparation of special reports based on the client’s request;
  • Reporting to various authorities, including Corporate tax returns, VAT returns, Statistical reports, etc.;
  • Responsible for the booking of all journal entries and accounting documents, filing, data control, taking responsibility, coordination of accounting;
  • Banking administration, managing payment procedures, preparation and completion of bank transfers;
  • Reconciliation of registers (analytics, general ledger reconciliation with the client’s software, I/C, tax accounts, suppliers, clients, inventory turnover, fixed assets’ analytics).
  • Supervision, training and guidance of accountant assistants, monitoring their performance and giving feedback;
  • Management of audits. Assistance and client representation during tax audits;
  • Regular communication and cooperation with the clients and other stakeholders;
  • Representing TMF’s corporate values and acting as a role model in front of the team and within the organization

Key Requirements

The successful candidate is analytical and methodical with experience in managing complete accounting lifecycles. Possesses deep knowledge of accounting & tax regulations coupled with exemplary people skills. Integrity, team spirit and strong organizational skills are highly valued attributes.

Ideally you are meeting following hiring criteria:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience;
  • Good knowledge of local GAAP, as well as the relevant local tax legislation;
  • Experience in mentoring and training junior members of the team;
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with clients, business partners and colleagues;
  • Previous experience in multinational and/or service company is an advantage;
  • Fluent level of English;
  • Very good computer literacy, specifically Excel and any of the ERP systems;
  • Open-minded, pro-active and with problem-solving attitude
