As part of the structures, we are looking for specialists in the field of international accounting & tax, human resources and payroll, and global entity management. We also build teams that will be responsible for handling international funds and supporting internal financial processes of the TMF Group.


Discover the Role

The Tax Associate is part of the Tax Team and supports the delivery of tax services across VAT, WHT, GST, Sales Tax, CIT, SFS, GAAP conversion, and e-invoicing. This role focuses on performing routine and moderately complex tasks with increasing autonomy while applying foundational tax knowledge. The Associate may manage client deliverables and assist in end-to-end services under supervision. In addition to the listed responsibilities, the role includes flexibility to perform other related tasks assigned by the manager to support business needs.


Key Responsibilities

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and ensure timely delivery of accurate, low-complexity tax returns to tax authorities and support other statutory reporting (e.g. VAT, CIT, SFS)
  • Collaborate to ensure that errors in source data are clearly communicated, corrected, and that appropriate remedial actions are taken
  • Compile, extract, prepare, review, and audit a variety of reports
  • Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical, or client support issues under general supervision, escalating more complex issues to appropriate team members
  • Retrieve and organise detailed data from client ERP systems
  • Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders globally
  • Liaise with TMF offices, subcontractors, and tax authorities on technical matters
  • Ensure team deadlines are met in accordance with internal and external requirements
  • Use relevant software applications and maintain company databases as required
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with assigned clients, acting as a key point of contact
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Requirements
  • Professional experience in the preparation and submission of tax returns
  • University degree or currently studying in administration, accounting, or a related field (desirable)
  • At least 1 year of experience in tax operations or tax compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP within the tax accounting/compliance area (highly desirable)
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Analytical skills to monitor and assess relevant topics
  • Client-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
