The Technical Support Lead is responsible for managing and providing technical support and maintenance for digital client platforms, with a focus on those hosted on the cloud platforms. This includes troubleshooting issues, identifying, and fixing defects, and implementing enhancements to improve system performance. The Technical Support Lead will work closely with other members of the support function, product development team and stakeholders across the organization to ensure that applications are running smoothly and meeting the needs of users. The Technical Support Lead will oversee an enhancement and development team, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients.
- Providing technical support for a range of applications hosted on cloud platforms, including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, identifying, and fixing defects, and implementing enhancements.
- Assisting with the deployment and testing of new components and updates to the digital client platform.
- Coordinate with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects meet standards and deadlines.
- Collaborating with other members of the IT team and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and provide timely resolution of issues.
- Provide motivation and direction to team members, cultivating a productive work environment. Additionally, the Technical Lead will act as a mentor to less experienced developers, assisting them in enhancing their skills through code reviews and pair programming.
- Maintaining documentation and records of support activities and processes.
- Identify potential risks in projects and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Schedule training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements and update the team on the latest technologies and practices.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with development and operations projects.
- Programming proficiency in one or few of the web-based languages, like Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, CSS, SQL.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms – Azure.
- Skills – Outsystems, Azure SQL Database ( SQL Server), Storage Accounts ( Blob and File Storage ), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Registry, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, Application Gateway.
- Experience in setting up, configuring, and managing applications and platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Experience in application lifecycle management (deployment, configurations, monitoring).
- Experience in troubleshooting applications (platform, logs, performance).
- Knowledge and experience with IT management tools / software such as DevOps and Remedy.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Awareness of security principles and best practices in software development
- General working knowledge of network and global IT infrastructures.
- Optional: Knowledge and experience with REST APIs and web services.
- Optional: Knowledge and experience with monitoring tools such as Network Watcher.

Key Qualification & Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in application support or a similar technical role.
- Proactive application monitoring, analyzing and fixing issues that arise.
- Manage application releases and hotfixes - both regular and ad-hoc.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
