Discover the Role

As an Accountant at TMF Group, you will support a range of international clients by managing their accounting and tax processes. Your work will help ensure they stay fully compliant with local laws and internal procedures.

You will work on more complex transactions, assist with the preparation and review of financial statements, and stay informed about regulatory changes that may affect your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the successful execution of all Accounting & Tax activities for TMF’s clients, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Build strong relationships with clients whilst enhancing TMF’s strong reputation 
  • Provide exceptional customer service whilst being decisive, firm and empathetic with customers
  • Follow ‘Our Service Promise’ delivery guidelines for relationship management to support recurring business 
  • Ensures accurate and concise communications with clients, seeking support from your Senior if required
  • Verifies the accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received
  • Maintains proper filing and documentation of all relevant documentations pertaining to clients 
  • Extracts financial information from legal documents and processes the relevant entries
  • Drafts primary documents in accordance with statutory requirements for sales, expense reports, fixed assets, inventory items and turn them over to senior staff for checking
  • Prepares supporting analysis of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet and income statements and various other accounting statements and reports required by the client
  • Meets the statutory and corporate deadlines in respect of each client
  • Provide assistance during statutory or internal audits 
  • Assists in cash management including the management of bank accounts and payment instructions
  • Support general team administration activities including scanning, filing and the co-ordination of document signing 
  • Works closely with other teams in TMF Group 
  • Adhere to TMF internal procedures and ensure compliance with TMF’s Risk and Control framework and processes. This includes ensuring the 4 eye principle is always followed
  • Assist with resolution of Know Your Client (KYC) queries
  • Make suggestions for continuous improvement, challenging the status quo 
  • Ensure TMF Compliance procedures are complied with in a timely manner
  • Ensure the team’s outputs are approved by clients before execution and filing 
  • Ensure all client data is managed with integrity and suitability maintained 
  • Ensure successful delivery of client work with accuracy and completeness
  • Work under the direction of a Senior, ensuring work is delivered on time 
  • Ensure customer complaints are escalated within 24 hours
  • Support training of interns and new staff as they join the team

Key Requirements
  • A degree in Law, Business or a closely related field is desirable
  • A candidate with 2-3 years of work experience in an Accounting firm is preferred
  • Willingness to work towards an Accounting qualification is preferable 
  • Resourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organise themselves 
  • Analytical structured mind set with ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistency
  • Fluency in English is essential, with knowledge of other languages an advantage
  • Basic MS Excel and MS Word skills are essential, with experience of Hyper Accounting and Pylon Accounting preferred
  • Experience in a similar role or business with good client servicing skills is preferred
