Katowice is also the location for our second structure - the Regional Delivery Center, whose task is to serve the European markets of our clients, companies from the Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 rankings. As part of the structures, we are looking for specialists in the field of international accounting & tax, human resources and payroll, and global entity management. We also build teams that will be responsible for handling international funds and supporting internal financial processes of the TMF Group.
TMF Fund Services is an independent alternative fund administrator with over two decades of experience in providing an extensive range of services, coupled with a very personal approach. We combine our technology, expertise and global infrastructure. Being part of the team you will deliver a customized package of services to our clients.
At this role you will have possibility to work remotely or hybrid from the office in Katowice.
- Undertaking the bookkeeping for a portfolio of investment fund structures in Investran and conducting full, detailed reviews of own work prior to submission for review by a senior client accountant.
- Preparation and reconciliation of monthly bank accounts.
- Maintaining pro-active communication to ensure that the Fund Accounting Manager is kept appraised of the status of all deliverables.
- Working closely with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery.
- Maintaining files in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Proactively look to develop own skills within the wider business and assisting other teams
- In addition to the duties listed above, the Fund Accountant may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Fund Accounting Manager.
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts & annual financial statements (including assisting with the audit process)
- Demonstrating competence with all fund accounting work and progressing with more complex cases and an increased volume of work as knowledge of the entities and accounting standards (and professional studies) increases
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 0-3 years’ experience in financial services industry
- Have commenced or intends to commence study towards the completion of a professional accountancy qualification
- Good knowledge of IFRS and ideally other GAAPs
- Knowledge of Investran
- Strong analytical skills combines with ability to work under time pressure
- Fluency in English
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Familiarity with tax-efficient European fund structures and related investment vehicles and regulatory requirements – this would be considered as advantage
