The Senior Engineer for IT Monitoring Tools will Responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of IT monitoring systems across the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure and applications. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for integrating monitoring tools with existing systems, developing proactive monitoring strategies, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT monitoring solutions using tools like SCOM, Site24x7, Azure Monitor, BMC Operation Management and Dynatrace.
- Ensure seamless integration of monitoring tools with various enterprise applications, servers, networks, and cloud platforms.
- Optimize monitoring tool configurations to align with organizational needs and industry best practices.
- Implement predictive analysis and trend-based alerts to prevent performance degradation or outages.
- Continuously monitor tool performance, identifying areas for improvement and tuning configurations to optimize system performance and alerting accuracy.
- Manage relationships with monitoring tool vendors to receive support, upgrades, and resolve technical issues as needed.
- Oversee tool licenses, ensuring compliance with agreements and managing renewals or expansions as required.
- Ensure that all monitoring tools and processes adhere to internal security policies, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain proper access control and security standards within monitoring tools to safeguard sensitive data.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and application development teams to ensure seamless integration of monitoring tools with internal processes and systems.
- Provide training and mentorship to internal teams, ensuring they are equipped to manage and maintain monitoring tools.
- 8-10 years of experience in IT monitoring, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing monitoring systems
- Excellent communication skills to provide training and support to internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex monitoring issues.
- Experience in monitoring tools, application Performance management tools. Operations management tools with AIOPS and so.
- Experience in Graphana, Power BI tools
- Experience in ITSM tools & terminology
- Experience in various software’s like end point management tools, BMC remedy, Asset management tools, etc.
- Supports the up skilling of team through sharing of knowledge, best practice, and coaching
- Should have good communication & Interpersonal skills
- Experience in ITIL (Incident, change & Problem management)
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Monitoring tools
- Knowledge of IT Cloud & Infrastructure services.
- Knowledge of Compute, Storage, networking, database, IAM.
- IT Infrastructure management, IT Operations management using AIOPS.
- Knowledge of Data analysis and Data presentation layer
- Management tools/Software: DevOps, Remedy.
- Knowledge of data presentation layer like Power BI, Graphana.
General skills:
