Discover the Role

This strategic leadership role requires a commercially astute and people-focused individual to lead the Governance, Internal Control Outsourcing Department and serve as the Managing Director of TMF Compliance . 

You will drive significant business growth through strategic client acquisition and revenue generation, while prioritizing the cultivation of a thriving, high-performing, and deeply engaged team. This role also demands the ability to navigate the evolving compliance landscape, seamlessly integrating operational excellence with technological advancements.


Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and regulatory changes.

Strategic Leadership and Business Growth:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to achieve significant revenue growth within the Department and TMF Compliance (Italy).
  • Identify and pursue new client acquisition opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek and establish strategic partnerships with consultants, law firms, and other relevant entities to generate a consistent deal flow.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the department, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

  • Build, inspire, and nurture a high-performing, collaborative, and deeply engaged team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Prioritize the professional growth and development of each team member, creating personalized development plans and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship.

Operational Excellence and Navigating the Evolving Compliance Landscape:

  • Drive the continuous improvement of operational processes, integrating AI and automation to enhance efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
  • Address the technical transformation of the compliance market driven by AI and automation, finding the critical balance between maintaining high-quality service standards and effectively integrating innovative technologies.
  • Lead the department in adapting to and leveraging AI-driven solutions to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all technology implementations align with regulatory requirements and ethical considerations.

Key Requirements
  • Advanced Degree & Senior Leadership: Master’s degree in Law/Economics with 10+ years of experience, including 3-4 years in senior management.
  • Business Development & Revenue Growth: Proven track record of success in business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Italian Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of the Italian regulatory landscape (Legislative Decree 231/2001, IT Security, Privacy, AML, GDPR, MIFID II).
  • Financial Industry Network: Extensive network of contacts within the financial services industry.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (C1).
  • Team Leadership & Development: Proven experience in developing and managing high-performing teams, with a focus on increasing employee engagement.
