Discover the Role

This position supports the Accounting & Tax team ensuring TMF’s clients are provided with an efficient, professional and high-quality service that meets all statutory obligations. You will be responsible for the correct completion and filing of documentation, ensuring accurate accounting, and working in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the successful delivery of services to clients. This will be under the review and supervision of a team Senior.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the successful execution of all Accounting & Tax activities for TMF’s clients, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Ensures accurate and concise communications with clients, seeking support from your Senior if required;
  • Verifies the accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received;
  • Maintains proper filing and documentation of all relevant information pertaining to clients;
  • Extracts financial information from legal documents and processes the relevant entries;
  • Drafts primary documents in accordance with statutory requirements for sales, expense reports, fixed assets, inventory items and turn them over to senior staff for checking;
  • Prepares supporting analysis of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis;
  • Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet and income statements and various other accounting statements and reports required by the client;
  • Meets the statutory and corporate deadlines in respect of each client;
  • Provides assistance during statutory or internal audits;
  • Assists in cash management including the management of bank accounts and payment instructions;
  • Adheres to TMF internal procedures and ensure compliance with TMF’s Risk and Control framework and processes. This includes ensuring the 4-eye principle is always followed;
  • Ensure TMF Compliance procedures are complied with in a timely manner

Key Requirements

The successful candidate is analytical and methodical with experience as an accounting specialist. Possesses knowledge of accounting & tax regulations coupled with strong communication abilities. Integrity, team spirit and strong organizational skills are highly valued attributes. 

 

Ideally, you are meeting following hiring criteria:

  • A degree in Accounting, Business or a closely related field is desirable;
  • 3-4 years of work experience in similar role;
  • Resourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead; 
  • Analytical structured mind set with ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistency;
  • Good command in English language;
  • Experience in a similar role or business with good client servicing skills is preferred
