TMF

The Market Privacy Officer will implement data protection across TMF Group entities in his market, considering local data protection laws and current privacy policies/program of TMF Group. The Marketing Privacy Officer will also participate in Group Privacy Office's ongoing projects, maintaining data protection compliance and achieving global data protection priorities. The Market Privacy Officer will work in the Eastern European market, consisting of 14 countries, and will report to the Director Data Privacy.

The Market Privacy Officer is a member of the Group Privacy Office, which is part of Group Risk & Compliance. The Group Privacy Office has a strategic role in keeping TMF Group and the respective local TMF Group entities in good legal and data protection standing, to advise on and monitor data protection compliance and simultaneously support and provide workable solutions for sales, service, and internal support functions.

The role allows you to work remotely

The Market Privacy Officer will primarily be in charge of maintaining the TMF entities within his market in good standing from a privacy perspective, in line with TMF’s policies and procedures, which includes but is not limited to:

•      Review data processing agreements;
•      Respond to due diligence queries from clients and oversee the due diligence process of third parties;
•      Perform data protection impact assessments;
•      Perform transfer impact assessments;
•      Oversee local incidents and ensure the correct implementation of our Personal Data Breach Handling Procedure, assist with risk assessments and implementation of remediation measures;
•      Oversee and handle data subject requests;
•      Review email access requests;
•      Assist in the set up and maintenance of the register of processing activities;
•      Advise on various privacy matters;
•      Any other privacy related task.

The Privacy Officer will also exercise similar tasks falling under the scope of the other markets

of TMF Group, when intervening as a temporary back up. The Privacy Officer might also be called to support Group Privacy Office on privacy matters at group level.

• Strong interest in privacy with a knowledge of GDPR or other similar privacy framework;
•  Reliable and ability to work within strict deadlines;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and to report clearly to its supervisors;
• Curious and not afraid to ask questions and for help where necessary (in particular when there is an issue or a blocking point, etc);
• Willing to work in a team and with various internal and external stakeholders;
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with various departments;
•  Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English;
• Willingness to proactively develop privacy knowledge.
•  A degree preferably in law or compliance;
• Professional experience with exposure to privacy is a plus;
•  CIPP / E certification (or equivalent) is a plus
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365.
