Discover the Role
The successful candidate will hold an important position within the Fund Administration team, delivering accounting services and engaging regularly with clients, external parties and internal stakeholders. Working closely with the Manager and Associate Director, the role holder will support strong client relationships and contribute to the effective delivery of services across a portfolio of complex Private Equity fund structures administered by TMF.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing management accounts, financial statements and other reports for a portfolio of Private Equity fund structures.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients.
  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Managing the audit process: conducting detailed planning; being a central point of contact for all audit queries; ensuring that issues raised are resolved expediently and all parties are kept informed of the status.
  • Planning own workload, prioritising and managing deliverables accordingly.
  • Responsible for the management and review of the work performed by more junior members of the team.
  • Maintaining pro-active communication to ensure that the Senior Accounting Manager / Manager are kept appraised of status and to allow them to accommodate periods of absence and/or peak demand.
  • Demonstrating good attention to detail in all work that is undertaken to ensure the highest level of service is delivered to clients and ensuring that the team produces accounting data accurately, efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
  • Assisting with the monitoring and controlling of all incoming communication to ensure that it is directed to an appropriately skilled member of the team.
  • Ensuring all work complies with the Fund’s documentation, the Company’s policies and procedures and any regulatory requirements.
  • Seeking process improvements.
  • Act as line manager for direct reports and take responsibility for their training and development including periodic performance appraisals.
  • In addition to the duties listed above, the Assistant Accounting Manager may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested

Key Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
  • Private equity fund accounting expertise — hands‑on experience in PE fund accounting, gained with a reputable Fund Services provider or a top‑ten audit firm.
  • Proven track record in preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP, with familiarity in US GAAP considered an advantage.
  • Experience operating investment accounting systems, with Investran viewed favorably.
  • Strong understanding of transactions within alternative investment fund structures, supported by broader industry and product knowledge.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new tasks, and contribute effectively within a team under the guidance of a manager or mentor.
  • Previous involvement in people management and team support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
