1. Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting
· Collaborate with the Head of Accounts to facilitate month-end closing activities.
· Assist in expenses analysis and the compilation of ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making.
· Prepare and maintain accurate schedules for accruals and prepayments to ensure proper financial reporting and compliance.
2. Financial Compliance & Due Diligence
· Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents and processes to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
· Oversee account reconciliations for various financial accounts, including bank, vendor, customer, employee, and intercompany balances, to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
3. Policy & Procedure Development
· Assist in the creation and formulation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and encourage best practices.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize processes and ensure consistency and compliance across the team.
4. Accounts Payable Management
· Support the team in accurately matching supplier invoices to stock received, ensuring timely processing in compliance with organizational policies.
· Proactively address and resolve queries related to Accounts Payable processes, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs) and escalating unresolved issues appropriately.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
· A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA Inter ) is highly desirable.
Experience:
· A minimum of 7-8 years of robust experience in accounting or similar finance roles, showcasing progressive responsibilities and leadership capabilities.
Technical Competencies:
Accounting Skills:
· Solid foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, reconciliation techniques, and budgeting.
· Proficiency in key accounting concepts such as accruals, amortization, and depreciation.
· Ability to analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Software Proficiency:
· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
· Experience with accounting/ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally.
Soft Skills:
Communication:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
· Strong report writing and presentation capabilities to support strategic planning.
Leadership & Team Management:
· Proven leadership skills to motivate and guide a diverse finance team, fostering collaboration and professional development.
· Proficient in performance management, conflict resolution, and resource allocation.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
· Exceptional interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
· Skilled in effective communication, setting expectations, and promptly addressing inquiries.
