Discover the Role

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in delivering high‑quality accounting and tax services for Egypt and KSA clients. This role combines technical execution, first‑level review, reporting, and client-facing responsibilities. The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely VAT/WHT/CIT filings, and high-quality financial reporting while supporting the development of junior team members.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

    Perform and review day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned Egypt and KSA clients

    Prepare and review monthly closing deliverables including:

    Bank reconciliations

    Intercompany reconciliations

    Accruals and prepayments

    GL reviews and reclassification checks

    Ensure all entries comply with applicable accounting standards (EAS/IFRS as relevant)


Tax Compliance (Egypt & KSA)

    Prepare and review monthly VAT returns for Egypt and KSA

    Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for VAT submissions

    Assist in CIT working, financial statements support, and annual tax file preparation

    Review WHT computations and ensure timely submissions

    Liaise with ZATCA and Egyptian Tax Authority where required


Reporting

    Prepare and review management reports according to client requirements

    Support statutory financial statements preparation for audit

    Ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting templates and supporting documentation

    D. Client Communication & Relationship Management

    Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients

    Handle routine client queries promptly and professionally

    Participate in client calls, onboarding discussions, and review feedback

    Escalate issues to the Manager when required to ensure smooth service delivery


Review & Quality Assurance

    Perform first-pass review of deliverables prepared by junior accountants

    Ensure documentation, workpapers, and reconciliations follow internal SOPs

    Maintain quality and accuracy of all submissions before Manager review

    Identify process gaps and propose improvements


Team Support & Development

    Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members

    Assist in reviewing juniors’ work and training them on best practices

    Support workload planning during peak months (VAT/CIT seasons)
