Discover the Role

A Record to Report (R2R) Manager oversees the end-to-end financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while leading a team and collaborating across departments. This role is critical for maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Record to Report Manager is responsible for managing the R2R cycle for part of EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

Process Management:

  • Manage the R2R process, including the efficient month-end accounting closing in accordance and timeframe of the group requirements.
  • Establish and maintain standardized R2R procedures, policies, and workflows to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of R2R processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

R2R Management:

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure R2R compliance and performance evaluation.
  • Manage internal and external relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to the R2R process.
  • Setting KPIs

Financial Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies throughout the R2R process.
  • Perform regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential control gaps and implement remediation plans.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and develop the team of R2R supervisors and professionals responsible for various countries, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and identify growth opportunities for team members.

System and Technology Enhancements

  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation tools to streamline R2R processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain R2R systems, ensuring data integrity and system functionality.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in R2R management and recommend innovative solutions.

Key Requirements
  • University/College Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar R2R management role, preferably within a multinational or professional services organization for more than 5-10 years.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end R2R processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial controls, compliance requirements, and internal audit practices.
  • Proficiency in using R2R systems, ERP software, and related tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamix D365).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps, implement improvements, and mitigate risks.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities, with experience in coaching and developing team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
