The Internal Finance Intern supports the internal finance team by carrying out routine accounting and bookkeeping activities under supervision.
The role focuses on the accurate recording of invoices, VAT-related entries, and bank transactions using Datev Koinov, while ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax requirements.
- Register and process supplier invoices (accounts payable) in Datev Koinov, ensuring correct posting and basic VAT treatment.
- Record and issue customer invoices (accounts receivable) in accordance with internal instructions.
- Support VAT bookkeeping activities, including VAT postings and assistance with VAT liquidation processes.
- Record bank transactions and assist with basic bank reconciliations.
- Payment of withholding taxes; Managing Intrastat preparation and execute other mandatory taxes;
- Ensure accounting data is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in line with internal procedures.
- Support month-end and periodic closing activities as instructed by the finance team.
- Cooperate with internal colleagues to resolve basic accounting queries and discrepancies.
- Use Datev Koinov as the main accounting system for daily bookkeeping tasks.
- Working Knowledge of English
- Expertise in all MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Previous experience in Accounting related tasks is considered a plus
