Discover the Role

The role is responsible for designing, building, and managing scalable enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Fabric. This role focuses on enabling trusted, governed, and high-quality data ecosystems, particularly in finance, tax, and accounting domains.

The position combines data architecture, engineering, governance, and analytics enablement, ensuring that data platforms support business intelligence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Platform Design

  • Design and implement scalable enterprise data platforms using Azure and Microsoft Fabric
  • Define and enforce data architecture standards and best practices

Data Engineering & Transformation

  • Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage
  • Implement modern data architectures such as Lakehouse and Medallion patterns

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Establish data governance frameworks using Purview
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, security, and regulatory compliance

Integration & Domain Data Management

  • Integrate ERP and financial systems into the data platform
  • Support tax, finance, and regulatory reporting requirements

Analytics Enablement

  • Enable business intelligence through semantic models and curated datasets
  • Support Power BI reporting with secure and governed data access

DevOps & Platform Operations

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize platform performance and scalability

Key Requirements

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data roles
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, tax, or accounting domains

Azure & Data Platform Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS)
    • Azure Databricks (Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog)
    • Azure Synapse Analytics

Microsoft Fabric

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric components including:
    • Lakehouse and Data Warehouse
    • Pipelines
    • Direct Lake
    • OneLake architecture

Data Governance & MDM

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance, cataloguing, lineage, and policy management
  • Familiarity with master data management tools such as Profisee or equivalent

Data Engineering & Modeling

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Spark
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Dimensional modeling
    • Data Vault modeling
    • Canonical data model design
  • Experience with Delta Lake and Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)

Enterprise Integration & Domain Knowledge

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle Finance
  • Experience integrating ERP data into modern data platforms
  • Exposure to e-invoicing standards and tax data formats (SAF-T, PEPPOL, e-Fattura)

Analytics & DevOps

  • Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, Row-Level Security (RLS), and BI governance
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
