Discover the Role
The Senior Citrix Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise Citrix environments. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance virtual desktop and application solutions using Citrix technologies across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Citrix Design & Implementation

  • Design and deploy Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (on-premises and Citrix Cloud)
  • Implement and manage Citrix infrastructure components, including XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, StoreFront, and Citrix Director
  • Support and maintain Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)

System Optimization & Maintenance

  • Perform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of Citrix environments
  • Monitor system health using tools such as Citrix Director, SCOM, or other monitoring solutions
  • Ensure consistent system performance, availability, and scalability

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to application delivery, user access, and system performance
  • Provide support for virtual desktop environments and user sessions
  • Ensure minimal service disruption through proactive issue resolution

Collaboration & Integration

  • Collaborate with network, security, and server teams to ensure seamless system integration
  • Support cross-functional initiatives involving infrastructure and application delivery

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and apply necessary remediation measures
  • Support secure access solutions, including authentication and encryption standards

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in Citrix engineering or similar roles
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler
    • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
    • Citrix Cloud
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Citrix certifications (CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V) are preferred
