We are looking for a Executive, Accounting & Tax to be based in KL.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing tax returns, and supporting schedules in compliance with Malaysian tax regulations (both direct and indirect taxes)
  • Handle tax compliance timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
  • Assist in tax audits and investigations, including preparation of documentation and responding to Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) queries
  • Prepare draft tax reports, memos, emails and client deliverables for review 
  • Perform tax research on legislation, rulings, and case laws, and summarize findings for internal and client use 
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, and tax authorities on tax matters, queries, and clarifications 
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of tax working papers in line with company standards
  • Stay updated with latest tax regulations, public rulings, and budget changes in Malaysia

Key Requirements
  • Strong understanding of basic taxation concepts and familiar with the Malaysian tax regulations (i.e. both RMCD and LHDN)
  • Possess minimum a Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines such as Accounting / Finance / Business or a Professional Qualification (ACCA/MIA/MICPA)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Exposure to accounting or tax software is an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently 
  • Positive attitude, adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
